K-2 Program 2025-2026

The Kindergarten-Second Grade Saturday Morning program will be starting in January. The goal of the program is to give our players the opportunity to improve their fundamental basketball skills through drills, practice and games.  Fundamental instruction will intertwine with developmentally appropriate competitions and games.  It is the intent of the Irish coaching staff that this program will allow our young players to begin to develop their basketball skills and gain exposure to the game of basketball.

The process for registering players in our K-2 program is done through our BackCourt Club on-line.  Please refer to the power point below that includes registration information.  All registration will be done electronically.

Dates and times are listed below. For sessions being held in the Green Gym, you will enter through Entrance A (marked outside the entrance).  We will keep you updated on entrance proceedures that may be impacted due to construction.

Please wear active wear and tennis shoes (or basketball shoes if you have them.)
Basketballs will be provided.

K-2 SHOWCASE: We will then showcase our K-2 players during the halftime of our JV game vs Denmark on Friday, January 23rd.  The showcase will be at halftime of this game and location is FHS Fieldhouse (Entrance H and I, behind the Field House-due to construction). All K-2 players should wear their t-shirt to the game for free admission. We ask that the K-2 players be there for the start of the JV game at 5:45 p.m. 
  
As the half draws near, there will be an announcement that all players should report behind the student section bleachers.  Please remind your little ones not to run on the main court as they head out.  Our varsity players and coaches will be visible to help direct the K-2 girls.  We will run out together and the campers will compete in several stations.  Once they are completed, we will run off the court together, meet behind the bleachers and they will report to their families.
 

Summer Camp Registration Information

The Freedom Irish Girls high school coaches and players will conduct two week long summer camps, Basketball FUNdamentals and Shooting FUNdamentals.  Summer camp information will be included in the summer school booklet that will go home in the spring.  Sign up for these camps will be through the FASD summer school program.  We encourage any girls interested in playing basketball to sign up!  Check back in the spring for dates and times!  GO IRISH!
