The Freedom Area School District Food Service Department welcomes you!
Please take a minute to become more familiar with the services that our department has to offer.
Meals - School meals provide a convenient, economical, and healthful option for today's busy families! Menu items are planned to optimize student acceptance while still providing key nutrients like Vitamins A and C, Iron, Calcium, and Protein. Monthly menus are printed in the school's newsletter, are available in each office and on the District website.
Free & Reduced pricing - Free and reduced pricing for meals are made possible by federal funding through the National School Lunch Program. Free and reduced applications are included in the beginning of the year newsletter, and are also available in the school office throughout the year as well as on the foodservice website. If you qualify for a free meal, that means that your students will receive a free breakfast and lunch daily. If you qualify for a reduced meal, you will receive breakfast for $0.30 and a lunch for $0.40. If only a milk is purchased, the account will be charged $0.30.
Account information - Our payment procedures work on a debit card system where you deposit money to a family account, and it is deducted when your children purchase meals or milk for lunch. To access your account balance, at any time of the day or night via the District website at www.freedomschools.k12.wi.us (click on Lunch Balance and follow the instructions) or by calling the Foodservice office. You will need your payer Login and Password. Only the person listed as "payer" on the family account is able to access this information. If you have any questions please call the foodservice office.
Summer feeding program- While Freedom doesn't offer a summer feeding program, there are many other organizations throughout Wisconsin that provide free healthy meals to children throughout the summer. You may use this link to find nearby FREE summer feeding programs! You could also call 2-1-1 for more information on Summer Feeding

The foodservice department replaced the soy butter used in the elementary cafeteria with SunButter. This product has the same flavor and texture profile as peanut and soy butter.
Sunbutter is produced in a peanut and tree nut free facility. It is also dairy, egg and gluten free. Sunbutter is processed in a facility that processes soybeans.
