Welcome to Freedom Area School District

The Freedom Area School District, located between Appleton and Green Bay in east-central Outagamie County, serves 1620 students from PreKindergarten through grade twelve.  Included within the District's seventy-six square miles are beautiful rolling hills, wooded parcels, meandering streams and level farm lands, all within minutes of the Fox Valley.  Freedom Area School District offers families the beauty and peace of a rural setting, proximity to larger cities for work, recreation and shopping, and a commitment to quality education.

The first high school in Freedom opened in 1906 and with the consolidation of 11 rural county grade schools in 1963 the present school district was formed.  The Freedom Area School District encompasses all of the Town of Freedom and parts of the Towns of Center, Kaukauna, Oneida, Osborn and part of the City of Appleton.  The two school campuses are located within the town of Freedom.  Freedom High School, Freedom Middle School and the District Administration Office have a combined campus located on the corner of Highway 55 and County E.  Freedom Elementary School is located on County E, approximately 2 miles west of the combined campus.  Freedom Area School District has recently purchased 74 acres of land on County Road N for future district expansion.

FASD is one of the highest achieving school districts in the Fox Valley.  Our staff is dedicated to providing a positive environment so that our students learn to their fullest potential.  Please browse our web site to introduce yourself to our District.
