Welcome!  I'm Mrs. Fogarty, the eighth grade Language teacher.  I have been working in the Freedom School District since 2001.  I started working part-time as a tutor for ESL students.  In 2003,  I got my teaching certification in Spanish and English.  In 2004, after all three of my own children were in school, I began working here full-time.  I taught Spanish and English as a Second Language until 2011.  In fall of 2011, I began to teach eighth grade Language Arts.

Before I went into teaching, I was a sign maker.  I grew up in Kaukauna where my parents continue to run a small sign shop.  I worked there throughout my childhood and as an adult until 2001.  I graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1990 and from Lawrence University in 1996 with a degree in English and a minor in Spanish.  Now I live in Appleton with my husband and three kids.

My interests include camping, traveling, playing piano, and reading.
